Next undertook the refurbishment and fitout of this well-known hospitality venue for our repeat client, Dixon Hospitality Group. We brought to the project extensive experience in the detailed work required for high-end hospitality fitouts.
The venue comprises 1250 square metres over two levels with an external terrace area and has been styled to represent a “1980s New York waterfront bar”. It incorporates iconic objects such as a a large scale, post-apocalyptic head of the Statue of Liberty for one of the bespoke DJ booths.
The project scope of works involved an upgrade to the existing bars on the ground and first floors. Glass blocks are a major feature of these bars and were used for splash backs and display racks as well as decorating the front of the bars.
Detailed wall cladding, mosaic tiles and other textured finishes such as hessian bag renders have been used throughout the venue. New fixtures and furniture were also procured.
The refurbishment also involved the upgrade of all services and amenities, installation of diffusers on air-conditioning outlets and new lighting including LED recessed lights for the bars and lights providing splashes of electric blue throughout.
