Sky Phoenix Restaurant

The major challenge for Next in completing the fitout and refurbishment of the Sky Phoenix Restaurant was the coordination of works with Westfield, who were also undertaking a major refurbishment of the Centrepoint shopping precinct.

Next’s project team communicated with the Westfield project team on a 24 hour basis to plan and implement construction tasks. The project team were highly experienced in operating in live environments and with their good communication and liaison skills were able to ensure the project progressed seamlessly.

The fitout and refurbishment of the 950 square metres restaurant required extensive design coordination to ensure the architectural design intent was maintained. The project featured a high span Barisol ceiling, quality finishes and detailed joinery. The kitchen was also refurbished and all services upgraded.

The scope of works also included the installation of a new façade for the Centrepoint complex on Castlereagh Street.
