Shanghai Stories 1938 Restaurant

Next completed the fitout of the Shanghai Stories 1938 Restaurant in a fast track program of 12 weeks.

The fitout of 900 square metres over two levels is a fusion of old world style in a modern elegant setting reflecting the charm and delights of a flourishing Shanghai of the 1930’s, which was known as the Paris of the East. To achieve this design intent, high-end detailed joinery and finishes were used throughout the restaurant’s variety of public and private dining spaces.

The fitout also included major structural design and services coordination and involved the removal of the existing and installation of a new commercial kitchen. Two dumb waiters were also installed to make food service more efficient between the kitchen and main restaurant floor.
