Abode Restaurant, Parkroyal Hotel, Darling Harbour

Next transformed the Abode Restaurant and Bar at the Parkroyal Hotel Darling Harbour following a major fitout and refurbishment of the facilities. The project was completed in eight weeks while the hotel remained fully operational.

The scope of works comprised complete decommissioning of the kitchen, bar and restaurant facilities with the removal of all services, ceilings, floor and wall finishes.

Next also upgraded the existing power, mechanical and fire services. In addition, a new commercial kitchen was constructed, existing wet areas refurbished and a new café created.

The extremely detailed project was designed by Forward Thinking Design, an awarding winning interior design firm. The project included high-end joinery as well as laser cut aluminium screens, wall panels incorporating tiles, vinyl and timber decking and recessed decorative carpet. Distinctive lighting was also installed together with new banquet seating in the restaurant.
