Next successfully completed this major refurbishment project while the building remained fully occupied and with limited access from busy York Street and York Lane. The project involved the complete demolition of all existing ﬁnishes, internal walls, ceilings, services, façade, disabled lift and core lift walls.
The lobby and entrance refurbishment involved the removal of an existing colonnade and repaired the building façade, which was extended to increase the lobby ﬂoor space. The new façade featured architectural steel and glazing. Other features included detailed stone work on the ﬂoor and walls.
