The design and construction of the end-of-trip facilities was undertaken in conjunction with the make good of four floors in this prominent commercial office building in North Sydney. Denwol Group’s decision to upgrade the end-of-trip facilities in the building reflects the recent growth in tenant demand for greater amenity in offices across in the CBD.
The scope of works involved the relocation of base building infrastructure and structural elements to facilitate the installation of showers, change rooms, lockers and bike racks in the car park. All work was completed to comply with current BCA requirements.
Good communication, careful planning and execution enabled Next to overcome the difficult working conditions and poor access within the operating car park. The live environment and the height restrictions of the car park limited access for deliveries and materials handling requiring the project team to employ a traffic management plan with the agreement and support of all stakeholders.
Dust control in the confined area of the car park was a key consideration requiring the installation of special hoardings with fan units and filters to capture dust created by building activity.
