The major refurbishment of the Beer Deluxe venue in Terminal 2 at Sydney Airport was successfully delivered within a tight time frame of eight weeks including the demolition of the existing tenancy.

The project was challenging because of the live, operational environment of the airport terminal with all deliveries and noisy works undertaken out of hours.

The scope of works for the 400 square metres tenancy included new floors, ceilings, joinery, new bar cladding, furniture, shopfront visuals and installation of roller shutters.

Specialist contractors were engaged to install the spotted gum joinery, which was used throughout the tenancy including as ceiling and wall features as well as for furniture.

Imported stone tiles were used to clad the bar and the floor of the tenancy. Venetian plaster rendering was used on the walls and part of the ceiling.
New feature lighting was installed including a large Barisol light above the bar area.

Next completed the project for repeat client, Australian Venue Co.
