Next secures contract for the construction of new aged care facility at Warrawee!

Sydney’s ageing population continues to grow, increasing demand and driving the need for innovative, modern aged care facilities. Next is excited to announce that it has been awarded the contract for the construction of Embrace Aged Care, Warrawee, which will provide a supportive, community focused residence.

The new aged care development for Mark Moran Group is a high-end six level facility, comprising 105 beds over two towers. The development features two levels of basement parking and various amenities that will enhance the resident’s lives, including a rehab gym, cinema, virtual reality room, hydrotherapy pool and commercial kitchen and laundry. Externally, the building is wrapped in feature curved façade with architectural screening and green walls, which will complement the lush landscaping throughout.

“Next has been working on the project with Mark Moran Group and Essence Project Management during in the early planning phase, prior to DA lodgement to facilitate the project from concept to DA approval leading to final engagement as the Head Contractor. During this period, our team led the design and value management of the new aged care facility. This highly collaborative approach allowed for assistance with design concepts, early subcontractor involvement, innovative value management input and cost savings while ensuring the integrity of the design was maintained”, said Next CEO, Joseph Di Girolamo.

The project team started works on site in March 2020 with the pour of the crane base and erection of luffing tower crane. All structural and services design components have been finalised and works are underway and progressing well on site.

We look forward to delivering a vibrant, high quality home for Mark Moran Group’s residents in collaboration with Mark Moran Group.
