Next successfully delivered the refurbishment and fitout of Richemont Australia's head office, a multi-faceted project designed to accommodate senior management, sales and the watch / jewellery repair operations of this international company in the field of luxury goods.
"The project was undertaken in an operational environment and showcases the professionalism and commitment of Next to 'go that extra mile', said Next Founder & CEO, Joseph Di Girolamo.
"Next understood and appreciated that the head office would be a show piece for future prospective clients of Richemont Australia as well as providing an exceptional working environment for employees. With this in mind, we were determined to select subcontractors, who understood the ethos behind the project so that collectively the construction team could deliver a finished product of the highest quality," he said.
The project comprised 2000 square metres over four levels with Level 1 to house staff supporting the Cartier store on ground level; Level 8 includes the reception, boardroom, meeting room and staff facilities; Level 9 is dedicated to watch making and repairs; and Level 12 features offices for each individual brand marketed by the company.
The scope of works consisted of the demolition of existing fitout and base building work, revised services installations, construction of an integrated fitout and installation of high security systems. Major structural upgrades and base building infrastructure work for power and fibre communications were also undertaken.
Next elected to undertake the refurbishment and fitout works to all four floors simultaneously to allow for the earliest possible project handover.
